Christy's a writer, educator, and sometimes songstress who teaches at San Jose State University, with and MFA in Creative Writing from City College of New York. Her work has been seen in The Dogwood Journal, Barely South Review, and The Real Story, among others. She won the Dogwood Prize for Creative nonfiction in 2022 and the Norton Girault Prize for Creative Nonfiction in 2017.
